I-495 Crash Kills Woman, Seriously Injures Another

MIDDLEBOROUGH, MA — A 57-year-old Brockton woman was killed when her SUV spun out of control and got struck by an oncoming Cadillac in a four-car crash on I-495 . State police said the driver of the Cadillac, a 55-year-old Wareham woman, was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The Brockton woman took the ramp from Route 44 to 495 North when she lost control and spun out, facing south in the northbound lane. The Cadillac then struck the SUV head-on, spun into the left lane and struck another vehicle being driven by a 55-year-old North Easton man. His vehicle was then struck by a vehicle driven by a 37-year-old Centerville man.

The crash is being investigated.
