International recording artist plays arts center

Lisa Nemzo will perform a concert to benefit the Plymouth Center for the Arts.

It's a familiar story. Lisa Nemzo has attracted a loyal following and sold more recordings in Europe than in her native United States. She will play a benefit concert for the Plymouth Center for the Arts in the center's unique space Thursday night.

Compared to Melissa Etheridge and Sarah McLaughlin, Nemzo writes songs for herself and others, and performs them accompanied with over the neck, harmonic, 12-string electric and acoustic guitar. She has toured with Bonnie Raitt, Heart, Ray Charles, Joe Cocker and others.

The concert begins at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $10 at the door.
