Lakeville Mother in Custody After Kidnapping Kids: Police

Valerie McGrath, 47, allegedly fled with her two children; the trio was located in Raynham.

LAKEVILLE, MA — Police on Monday said they found a Lakeville mother who kidnapped her two children.

Valerie McGrath, 47, allegedly went on the run with her 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son following a visit Sunday. McGrath doesn’t have custody of the children; their father has sole custody, police said.

Police found the trio at a McDonald’s parking lot in Raynham. It was immediately unclear if McGrath will face charges.
