Lapels Dry Cleaning named a vet-friendly franchise
Lapels Dry Cleaning named to Entrepreneur magazine's list of vet-friendly franchises for 2018.

Lapels Dry Cleaning, an innovative, environmentally friendly dry cleaning company headquartered in Hanover, Massachusetts, was recently named to Entrepreneur magazine’s list of vet-friendly franchises for 2018. Lapels Dry Cleaning was ranked 55 of franchises listed.
“We’ve been fortunate to be recognized for a number of things over the years. Being named as a franchise that welcomes and incentivizes veteran ownership is one that is tops among those,” said Kevin Dubois, CEO of Lapels and co-author of Entrepreneurial Insanity in the Dry Cleaning Business. “We have had the good fortune of having a few veterans in our ranks of franchise owners and we certainly would love to have more.”
Lapels Franchising offers a 20 percent discount on Initial Franchise Fees to our Veterans. Additionally, Lapels will also pay up to $6,000 in fees in assisting veteran franchise owners in finding the correct lending institution to open their franchise.

“People who have gone through military training typically have a great number of skills that translate very well to running a successful franchise—time management, technology and systems,” said Dubois. “We also encourage all of our franchise owners to get involved in the local community and some of our owners have taken that opportunity to help veterans.”
Lapels Dry Cleaning of Littleton, Colorado has a program where it will clean uniform hats for veterans. Most if not all Lapels Dry Cleaning locations will offer discounted uniforms and flag cleaning services. And then there’s Lapels Dry Cleaning of OKC Owner Brian Culver.

A former Navy pilot, Culver has set up a suit donation drive to benefit the local chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
“There are a lot of challenges that go with leaving the military and trying to enter the private sector job force. For some veterans, not having a proper suit for that big interview can be one of them,” said Culver. “With the Lapels opportunity, we were able to put a program in place where we will clean used suits that are in good condition and, through the Paralyzed Veterans of America, make sure they get to job-seeking veterans.”
