League of Women Voters Hosting Legislative Debates

The Plymouth Area League of Women Voters is sponsoring two candidate debates this election season.

The 9th Congressional District Debate is scheduled for 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Duxbury Senior Center, 10 Mayflower St., Duxbury.

Representative Bill Keating (D-Bourne), Republican Christopher Sheldon of Plymouth, and Independent Daniel Botelho of Fall River, will be participating. Dr. Kathleen Leslie will moderate.

State Senate and State Representative candidates will face off October 18, at 7 p.m. at the Kingston Town  Hall, 26 Evergreen Street, Kingston. Senator Therese Murray (D-Plymouth) and her challenger Thomas Keyes (R-Sandwich) will face off  for the Senate seat and Representative Thomas Calter (D-Kingston) and Debra Betz (R-Plymouth) for the House seat. Attorney Alice Lague will moderate.
