Characterizing herself as a “motivated stay-at-home parent,” Thornton served as PTO Vice President at Gates Intermediate School this year, as a member of the Healthy School Task Force and as coordinator of the Scituate Soccer Club, in addition to coaching soccer and organizing school fundraisers and club tennis tournaments. Previously, she ran a charity golf tournament and worked as a project manager at Thomson Financial Services in Boston and as a systems coordinator at Siemens Medical Systems in Needham.
“We feel so fortunate to join forces with such a dedicated and respected member of the South Shore community,” EverPresent CEO Eric Niloff said. “Lisa is passionate about family traditions, has a keen sense of design and is very tech savvy. Her neighbors on the South Shore are lucky to have her help preserving and sharing family memories.”

EverPresent, which aims to bring families closer through memory preservation, is committed to hiring local consultants immersed in their communities. The company takes an old-fashioned approach to its high tech service, offering in-home consultations and dedicated one-on-one service. “People have great options when it comes to preserving material wealth through local insurance agents, estate planners and investment advisors,” said Niloff. “But when it comes to preserving memories and stories, which are truly irreplaceable, that level of service has been non-existent. EverPresent is changing that, and we are so honored to do such important work for families.”
Consultants meet with clients in-person to assess their unique needs. Their options vary widely, from creating a photo memory book or slideshow for a special occasion to archiving historic family videos, film reels, slides, scrapbooks and photos. Lisa Thornton is one of three consultants joining the company’s team this month.
“Serving as an EverPresent consultant is an excellent business opportunity for parents,” Niloff said. “It’s flexible and allows our consultants to build on what they already love – strengthening families and communities. It’s intellectually challenging. And consultants enjoy the satisfaction that comes from helping people solve a problem.”
Modern families are inundated with “digital clutter” – thousands of disorganized pictures and videos building up on laptops, cameras and smartphones. They also inherit historic collections. As these images pile up in devices or boxes in the closet, families stress about how to properly preserve and share these irreplaceable memories.
As a busy parent, Thornton said she relates to these families’ difficulties and looks forward to using her design and project management experience to help others deal with the challenge of memory preservation. “Our daily lives are extremely busy and the months and years slip away, leaving little time to organize the past,” she said. “Joining EverPresent gives me the exciting opportunity to work in partnership with families to help preserve these memories in a unique way.”
