MIDDLEBORO, MA — A driver was killed Thursday night after he veered off Interstate 495 in Middleboro and struck a tree, police said. The driver was identified as Robert Keith, 58, of West Bridgewater.
Police said he was driving a Jeep Liberty in the southbound lane of the highway in the moments leading up to the crash. His vehicle burst into flames, police said.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, police said.
