Marshfield Police Standoff Ends: Few Answers On Barricaded Man

MARSHFIELD, MA — A standoff between police and a man who barricaded himself at a home near Green Harbor ended with police locating the man Monday evening, but it was not certain that he was alive. Marshfield Police, SWAT teams and a bomb squad secured the Webster Street, Garden Gate Waye area, believing the man might have been armed.
Marshfield Police Chief Phil Tavares would not confirm whether the man had died.
“We received information from some concerned members of the community about a particular person, Tavares told WATD. "They were concerned about their well-being, and that a firearm may have been involved."
