Massachusetts Wind Turbines “Call A Spade A Spade”
Ten years ago Massachusetts embarked on a nobel renewable energy agenda of 2000 megawatts of renewable energy by the year 2020.
Our politicians declared an actual all out war of fossil fuels. The weapon of choice was the commercial megawatt wind turbine.
The mainstream media, politicians, University of Massachusetts and Massachusetts Clean Energy Center all jumped on board to install commercial megawatt turbines anywhere anytime.
The wind turbines when they first went up were a trophy to local politicians and made a great story about green energy in the local newspapers. The politicians were guaranteed re-election and the news media went right along with the agenda only printing puff news stories about commercial wind.
Over the ten year period valuable state infrastructure money that could have been spent on bridges, MBTA repairs etc. was misdirected into the actual war on fossil fuels using commercial wind turbines. The overall estimate of spending including the 2009 ARRA federal stimulus funds is near one billion dollars.
Massachusetts has only around 100 megawatts of renewable energy from commercial wind a giant financial fiasco.
The turbines were sold to last twenty years in actuality they only last five years before they undergo massive repairs. They may soon reach a point where they are being repaired faster than they went up.
The state agencies, politicians and news media ignored studies dated back to 1987 that warned of noise issues with the turbines. Public saftey was ignored.
In multiple communities across Massachusetts thousands of certified written noise complaints have been filed. The residents all say the same thing the turbine noise is described as a type of torture. Thousands of people don’t tell the same lies for six years.
Journalist and editors all across Massachusetts today are aware of the financial fiasco and bunco scheme bestowed on the state by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center with the help of the commercial wind industry. They refuse to print or tell the truth.
It’s a puzzle why the media knowing the truth about commercial wind won’t tell the truth and continues to report by omitting any and all bad news about commercial wind. There are plenty of good renewable projects like geo-thermal, heat pumps, solar, photo voltaic etc.
The news media is aware that eventually every failed agenda has a backlash. We have come to a point in our culture where the news media, politicians and universities are the select class and the rest of us are just collateral damage in the war on fossil fuels. Any news reporters that cross the line and speak against commercial wind are signing their own dismissal notice.
What allegiance does the media owe to these wind projects ? Did the editors all go to the same school as the politicians ?
The editors even today after ten years and a billion dollars say you need to give commercial wind a chance to work ?

The New Bedford Mayor for months has been telling the public the 113 million dollar New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal is complete. The news medial sits by and says nothing knowing there is no rail link, only a temporary entrance, no cranes and the hurricane gate only has a legal width of 120 feet in which specialized wind turbine “jack-up” barges don’t fit.
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center has borrowed on bonds to build the New Bedford Terminal at a cost to taxpayers of $187,500.00 per month for thirty years. They can’t lease the incomplete port for more than the payments.
