The conference, led by Music Together Founder/Artistic Director Kenneth K. Guilmartin and Chief Executive Officer Susan Darrow, included dozens of speakers—expert educators, authors, musicians—and workshops that focused on a range of critical topics impacting early childhood music education, supporting the company’s mission that Music Learning Supports All Learning.®

Meryl said, “This was an incredible conference, rich in information about the latest in early childhood music. I now have even more tools to educate local parents about how to create a musical home life for their families. I learned so much and can’t wait to share it all! As a research-based program, Music Together curriculum is like no other program on Cape Cod and in Plymouth . I am proud to serve this community and be able to help parents and their young children bond through music and movement.”

Music Together is an internationally recognized, developmentally appropriate early childhood music and movement program for children birth through age seven. The Music Together curriculum, coauthored in 1987 by Guilmartin and Rowan University Professor of Music Education Dr. Lili M. Levinowitz (Director of Research), is based on the recognition that all children are musical: all children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning.

Music Together offers programs for families, schools, at-risk populations, and children with special needs, in over 2500 communities in over 40 countries around the world. The company is passionately committed to bringing children and their caregivers closer through shared music-making and helping people discover the joy—and educational value—of early music experiences.
