Military Grade Flare Found On Duxbury Beach Destroyed (VIDEO)
No injuries were reported and there was no property damage in association with the destruction.

DUXBURY, MA — A military flare or illumination device that washed up on a beach in Duxbury was destroyed by bomb squad officers assigned to the fire marshall's office, police said.
Police received a call in the afternoon about an object found by someone walking on the beach that authorities discovered was marked as hazardous. The fire department responded to the scene and the state police bomb squad was notified.
The bomb squad identified the object as a military grade illumination or signaling flare.

The area was closed off as authorities worked to destroy the flare. No injuries were reported and there was no property damage.
