Movies on the Green Returns to the Pinehills this August

What: The Pinehills presents Movies on the Green free outdoor film series on The Village Green. Every Thursday evening in August, The Pinehills Village Green will be the destination for a selection of this year’s hit movies. Bring a blanket, a chair and the whole family for this special, free midsummer event.

Thursday Evenings in August:

Aug. 4  Toy Story 3 - The toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, and it's up to Woody to convince the other toys that they weren't abandoned and to return home.

Aug. 11 Breakfast at Tiffany’s – A true classic. The story of a woman on her own making her way in the big city who becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building.

Aug. 18 Social Network - A chronicle of the founding of Facebook, the social-networking website.

Aug. 25 Up - By tying thousands of balloons to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn't alone on his journey.

When: Every Thursday in August. Shows begin at dusk.

Where: The Pinehills Village Green, Plymouth, Mass. Located just off Exit 3 on Route 3 in Plymouth. Follow the signs to The Pinehills.

Cost: Free movies and free parking. Food is available for purchase.
