NStar Estimates Power Back by Saturday
Some Plymouth residents and businesses won't have electricity until Saturday as NStar crews continue repairs.

Plymouth residents and busineses that don't have electricity shouldn't expect it to be back on until Saturday night.
Plymouth Emergency Manager Aaron Wallace said NStar reported that about 12 percent of its customers in Plymouth are still without power. Of the 28,751 customers in Plymouth, 3,542 were without power as of 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Outages are still spread across town in small clusters.
NStar is posting updates on repairs on its website. The estimated restoration time is 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3.

Wallace said Plymouth officials had revised a list of critical infrastructure with NStar prior to Irene's landfall. He said the list assisted NStar in prioritizing locations in the community. He offered these bits of data from NStar:
- (US) The US Department of Energy is reporting 2.8 Million customer outages in the United States as of this afternoon.
- (Massachusetts) NSTAR is reporting 59,000 customers out of service in Massachusetts
- (Plymouth) Currently there are 3,542 customers without power in Plymouth (12% of Customer Base)
- Distribution System for NSTAR is back and fully operational, the focus now is on residential and smaller service area customers.
- All Special Needs/Life Support customers in Plymouth are fully restored, and have been checked on by local emergency services.
