Pilgrim Festival Chorus to Host Open Auditions at Welcome Nights

Pilgrim Festival Chorus, the region's principal non-profit community choral group, invites singers to audition for the fall season.

Pilgrim Festival Chorus (PFC), the region’s principal non-profit community choral group, invites singers throughout the region to join them during open auditions at three Welcome Nights. On Monday, September 8 from 7 to 8 pm, and Monday, September 15 and 22 at 6:30 pm, Music Director William Richter welcomes newcomers of all skill levels to learn about PFC and audition for vocal placement, if they wish, at the Church of the Pilgrimage, 8 Town Square in Plymouth. The first rehearsals of the winter concert A North American Christmas begin on September 15th at 7 pm.

PFC is an auditioned singing group for male and female vocalists of all skill levels, dedicated to the performance of choral music from many genres. With about 80 current members, the group is particularly seeking men’s voices this season, especially singers in the tenor vocal range¬¬. Celebrating their fifteenth season, PFC typically offers two major choral performances each year. Pilgrim Festival Singers, a PFC offshoot volunteer singing ensemble, performs an annual summer post-season concert of lighter music, and also engages in occasional appearances at local community events.

Rehearsals throughout the season are held on Monday nights from 7 to 9 pm, with some exceptions for holidays. Winter concert performances will be held on Saturday, December 6 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, December 7 at 4 pm at The Church of the Pilgrimage.
