Plymouth Family Vigil Planned For Wednesday Night

Plymouth police said that, although there are no indications of agitators planning to attend, they will be ready to keep the event peaceful.

PLYMOUTH, MA β€”Plymouth police are asking residents to remain vigilant against anything suspicious if they choose to attend a "Peaceful Family Vigil" planned for Wednesday night at Brewster Gardens.

Police said that while there have been no indications of any "radical agitators" planning to attend the event, they will be prepared to respond if necessary.

The Patriots For Indivisible Plymouth are planning the event for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week and social unrest in New England cities in recent days. Plymouth police said they plan to participate in the event and provide security for the entire downtown waterfront area.
