Plymouth To Host Focus Group On Climate Change

PLYMOUTH, MA — A focus group for residents concerned about climate change and the town's preparedness to deal with it will be held on Feb. 18 at Plymouth South High School. Residents are asked to identify challenges, interests and needs as they pertain to climate impact on their health.

Organizers said the experience and knowledge of residents is critically important in protecting Plymouth's future.

The town is working with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and Old Colony Planning Council on a Climate and Health Vulnerability Assessment and Action Plan. Organizers said the goal is to "work directly with residents, businesses, and stakeholders to understand the
potential impacts of climate change on Plymouth and plan for how the town will equitably address these impacts, while protecting and promoting the community’s health, environment, and economic prosperity."
