Plymouth North Defeats Whitman-Hanson In 2nd Round, 4-3
Plymouth North will now move on to the 3rd round to face Marshfield.
PLYMOUTH, MA-The Plymouth North Blue Eagles Boys Hockey team traveled to Armstrong Arena in Plymouth on Saturday Afternoon, to face the Whitman-Hanson Panthers in the 2nd Round of the Patriot Cup Tournament.
Plymouth North was the 3rd seed and Whitman-Hanson was the 5th seed in the Keenan Division giving Plymouth North home ice.
In the 1st period, Matt Solari of Whitman-Hanson scored the first goal with an assist from Cully. Then Plymouth North scored the next two goals with Josh Bates and Kevin Norwood scoring them for the team. In the 3rd period, Plymouth North scored 2 goals by Norwood and Logan Tomasello. Whitman-Hanson also scored 2 goals by Solari and Kevin Willis, which Willis’s goal was scored on a power play. Plymouth North held on to the lead to win 4-3 against Whitman-Hanson. To advance to the 3rd Round of the Patriot Cup.

Solari and Norwood both scored two goals for Whitman-Hanson and Plymouth North, respectively. Plymouth North had assists from Carter Mento, McLachlan, Evan Hallissey, Lawrence, and Driscoll. Whitman-Hanson also had an assist from Allen in the game.
Plymouth North will face Marshfield in the 3rd round on Monday at 4:00 p.m. at Bog Arena in Kingston. Marshfield lost against Scituate on Saturday in which they were the #1 and 2 seeds of their divisions, they got to face each other where the loser advanced to the 3rd round and the winner advanced to the semifinals.
