Plymouth North Edged Out By Taunton In Football, 10-7
Plymouth North slips to 0-3 start after loss to replacement opponent.
PLYMOUTH, MA- The Plymouth North Eagles football team played the Taunton Tigers at home on Friday Evening. Plymouth North was scheduled to play Whitman-Hanson this week, but Whitman-Hanson had to cancel due to COVID protocols.
In the first half, Plymouth North cracked the scoreboard first when senior Nick Desrochers scored a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Then, Taunton’s senior running back Josh Lopes tied the game with his own rushing touchdown. Game was tied at 7 between both teams at halftime.
In the second half, Taunton kicker Matt Abouzied kicked a field goal to pull Taunton ahead 10-7. In the fourth quarter, Plymouth North tried to come back but was stopped by a turnover on downs. Taunton won 10-7 over Plymouth North, in which pushes Plymouth North to 0-3 to start the season.
