Plymouth North Valentine's Day Sports Roundup

Eagles hockey clinches a playoff berth as Plymouth North's winter teams look to finish their season on a high note.

After losing to Plymouth South last Wednesday, the Plymouth North hockey squad bounced back in impressive fashion against Cambridge Saturday.  The Eagles skated all over the Falcons winning 7-0. The victory clinches a playoff spot for Plymouth North and improves the Eagles overall record to 9-4-2.  The Eagles will play five games in the next week and half and will Blue Hills Voc-Tech tonight.

The Plymouth North boys basketball team traveled to Marshfield Friday to face the 12-2 Rams. Marshfield continued its winning season defeating Plymouth North 61-47. With the season winding down, the Eagles traveled to Sandwich Saturday to play the 3-11 Blue Knights. In a close game, Sandwich defeated Plymouth North 61-60. Plymouth North will play away at Falmouth Thursday.  

The Lady Eagles lost to Marshfield 62-35 Friday, but rebounded Saturday with a win at home against Sandwich, 57-41.  The 5-11 Eagles goes for its sixth win tonight against East Bridgewater.

A select group of Plymouth North wrestlers participated in the Division II South Individual Sectional Championships at North Attleboro Saturday. Frank Aguiar, John David, Carlos Soloman and John Dee all placed second in their weight classes.  Nick Curtis and Chucky Phachansiri both placed fourth in their respective weight classes, and Henry Regalado placed fifth and Connor Elliot sixth in their classes.
