Plymouth Pot Brownies: Student Arrested, 5 Hospitalized

One middle school boy who police say had marijuana brownies was arrested and five who ate them went to the hospital.

PLYMOUTH, MA — Five Plymouth South Middle School students went to the hospital after eating marijuana brownies another student brought in, police said.

The 13-year-old boy who brought in the brownies was arrested and charged with possession and distribution of a class D substance. (Subscribe to Plymouth Patch for more local news.)

The five boys were treated and released from BID Plymouth Hospital.

Police say they received a call around 10:35 a.m. Friday from the School Resource Officer after several kids experience "adverse effects" from eating brownies.

The investigation is ongoing.
