Jaros was the son of Ward and Paula Jaros, according to his obituary. He had three siblings.

Jaros’ obituary included this passage that he wrote:

“To love, it all starts in the mirror. Rumors and thoughts of people are clouds of confusion, but you must fight through the clutter and see yourself clearer. How can you love one another if you cannot first grasp yourself. Make the change in yourself that you wish to see in others.”
