Plymouth South Shuts Out Dennis-Yarmouth In Football, 35-0
Star freshman Casious Johnson and senior quarterback Hunter Dean's rushing attack accelerated Plymouth South in it's season home opener.
PLYMOUTH, MA- The Plymouth South Panthers football team played the Dennis-Yarmouth (D-Y) Dolphins for their home opener on Friday Evening. This is a replacement opponent for the second consecutive week as their original opponent North Quincy entered the COVID protocol and had to cancel their game against Plymouth South.
In the first half, Plymouth North’s star freshman Casious Johnson ran for scored of 61 and 50 yards respectively in the team’s first two drives. Then, senior defensive end Jack Doyle intercepted a pass from D-Y and took it to D-Y's 18-yard line. Then, senior quarterback Hunter Dear ran up the middle for the touchdown. Making it 21-0 Plymouth North at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Hunter Dean passed a touchdown to senior captain Jack Condon. It was 28-0 Plymouth south at halftime.
In the second half, Hunter Dean sealed the game for Plymouth South with a rushing touchdown early in the third quarter. Plymouth South would go on to win 35-0 against D-Y.

Casious Johnson had 136 yards rushing on 16 carries and his two touchdowns. Hunter Dean went 5-for-5 passing and 36 rushing yards and three total touchdowns.
Plymouth South is scheduled to stay at home when they play Pembroke for their next game on April Fool's Day at 6 p.m. Stay tuned to this post for schedule updates.
