Plymouth To Receive $1.47 Million for Road and Bridge Repairs from State Budget

The Chapter 90 funds may be used for local projects such as rebuilding and repairing local roads and bridges.

The Massachusetts Senate Thursday passed a bill that will provide $200 million in Chapter 90 funds to cities and towns across Massachusetts, Senate President Therese Murray, D-Plymouth, announced.

β€œKeeping our roads and bridges in working order is essential for the health and safety of residents and for our local economy,” Murray said. β€œThese funds will serve as another boost to the construction and maintenance of municipal roads and bridges. It is vital that we give our cities and towns the resources they need to make necessary infrastructure investments.”

Plymouth would receive $1,479,004 in Chapter 90 road improvement funds. This budget must still be aproved as part of the overall state budget.
