Plymouth Town Manager Previews April Town Meeting

Plymouth Town Manger Melissa Arrighi said the renovation and building of new fire stations are among the articles to be considered.

PLYMOUTH, MA - Plymouth Town Manager Melissa Arrighi said preparation is underway to prepare and discuss the articles for the April 4 spring town meeting. Warrants for consideration are still be accepted through Feb. 7.

Arrighi said several of the items set to be on the town meeting agenda includes work on the town's fire stations, including:

Funding for schematic design for renovations at Bourne Road Fire Station, West Plymouth Fire Station, and Manomet Fire Station and conceptual plans for a new fire headquarters on Long Pond Road, or a renovated Fire Headquarters at the existing site on Sandwich Street.

Funding for construction costs at Bourne Road Fire Station, West Plymouth Fire Station and Manomet Fire Station.

Funding for construction costs of a new fire headquarters on Long Pond Road or renovations of the existing fire headquarters.

Resolved collective bargaining agreements for employees (some unions).

Adoption of the Stretch Energy Code — a step towards Plymouth being designated as a Green Community.

Appropriation of a $260 million dollar budget.
