Plymouth Wind Turbines Remain At Incomplete New Bedford Port

Politicians should to be afraid to do something that is unethical but Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is following in the footsteps of former Governor Patrick and his administration.

Take one look at what is still going on at the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal aka the ocean wind turbine port !

Charlie Baker has absolutely no respect for the taxpayers who pay the bills. Baker and his Republican administration are intellectually and economically raping the taxpayers at the New Bedford South Terminal. Republican Charlie Baker once described himself as a “weed-whacker” who would get into the meat of problems that affect the state. He never took it out of the box or its got no gas.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center the owner of the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal construction is borrowing money through various state bond programs that the taxpayers have to pay back over thirty years. The payments are now $187,500.00 a month for the next 30 years. The terminal can’t be leased out for more than $187,500.00 a month its to expensive.

The Baker administration is hiding a major dirty secret from the public along with the main stream media. They would have you believe the 113 million dollar ocean wind turbine port is complete. The exact opposite is true.

The New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal is just an empty parking lot costing taxpayers 113 million. Phase two of the taxpayer rip off started this week. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center is continuing to spend tens of millions at the terminal.

The terminal remains incomplete while taxpayers are making the $ 187,500.00 dollar monthly payments.

An AM radio station remains blocking the entrance to the terminal along with 4 acres of ground cables and toxins under the property. The AM station needs to be moved to the other side of New Bedford at taxpayer expense. Two temporary entrances had to be designed and built on Blackmer Street near the scene of a recent shooting murder.

The rail road link remains 2500 feet from the terminal which undoubted will cost tens of millions in addition.

There are no large multi-million dollar walking/crawler type cranes installed at the terminal.

One of the most overlooked and bizarre facts of the entire project is the legal clearance at the hurricane gates is only 120 feet wide. Wind turbine “jack-up” barges world wide are generally 127 feet wide and wider.

What the public seems completely unaware of is Quonset Point, Rhode Island with two channels 1500 feet wide was already built 5 years ago complete with crane service and is the permitted site for the construction and assembly of Cape Wind not New Bedford.

Deepwater Wind is using Quonset Point for the construction of its project off Block Island, Road Island.

Governor Charlie Baker and his administration owes the Massachusetts taxpayers an explanation of continuing spending hundreds of millions of dollars on an ocean wind turbine port that was estimated to cost 35 million in 2010 and will never be used for its intended use renewable energy.

How much of our taxes, bonds and renewable energy funds have been wasted at this financial fiasco.

Folks, All the politicians and news media are aware of the fiasco going on in front of your eyes in New Bedford.

The installation of land based wind turbines in Massachusetts was a major fiasco. Falmouth is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States taking the health and property rights of our citizens.

What will happen in Plymouth with wind turbines larger than Falmouth by almost 100 feet and 25 percent more powerful ?

Now the Baker administration is pouring your hard earned tax dollars into New Bedford Harbor !
