Plymouth yoga instructor produces second CD A local yoga instructor has produced a second CD for yoga meditation. Barbara P. Ward, owner of The Yoga Connection in Plymouth, created “Moving Stillness II” to help students and devotees of Yoga understand the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra, which translates as “yoga sleep,” is a transformational meditative process that can be done daily or as needed. The 30-minute CD is designed to guide individuals into a deep state of relaxation while maintaining full consciousness. The practice of Yoga Nidra has been found to reduce tension and anxiety. “Moving Stillness II” is the second CD produced by Ward, who narrates both. The first, “Moving Stillness,” features a gentle yoga flow of postures to develop breathing and relaxation techniques while deepening self-awareness as a key to transformation and spiritual connection. Both CDs are designed for yoga devotees and fans at any level – from novice to expert. Ward is co-founder and current director of The Yoga Connection, which marks its 17th year of operation. She is a certified Kripalu yoga teacher with hundreds of hours of professional experience. Ward has practiced and taught yoga for 50 years and is a registered Yoga Alliance member. She also is Reiki master and a licensed psychotherapist. “Moving Stillness II” sells for $12. Both CDs can be purchased for $20 at The Yoga Connection, located at 7 Fremont Street in Plymouth. Credit cards are accepted. For more information, call 508-269-5780, 508-746-4446 or go to www.plymouthyogaconnection.com.
