Plymouth's Fresh Pond is still closed to swimmers after dangerous bacteria levels were detected.
PLYMOUTH, MA — Plymouth's Fresh Pond remained closed Friday after high bacteria levels were detected.
The pond was closed Thursday after water tests revealed dangerous bacteria levels. More testing was scheduled. It was unclear when the pond will reopen.
Also on Thursday, there was a possible shark sighting off the Plymouth coast, forcing officials to issue swimmer alerts at Plymouth Beach and White Horse Beach.
