Pure Solutions Introduces The PROGAEA(TM) by Pure Solutions Family of Products

Pure Solutions introduces PROGAEA™ by Pure Solutions, a family of all-natural products which utilizes proprietary botanical extracts and oils to provide safe, environmentally sustainable methods for outdoor services such as tick, mosquito, and deer control. The first member of the PROGAEA family of products released is PROGAEA Tick & Mosquito, which works by disrupting the neurotransmitter function in target insects, providing residual control to the application area. The proprietary formulation of PROGAEA Tick & Mosquito has undergone efficacy testing in a study published in the Journal of Medical Entomology titled Trial of a Minimal-Risk Botanical Compound to Control the Vector Tick of Lyme Disease. The study found that PROGAEA Tick & Mosquito, a botanical product referred to as EcoEXEMPT IC2, was almost as effective as bifenthrin insecticide, “…a synthetic pyrethroid characterized by strong environmental persistence and high toxicity to insects and aquatic organisms…in reducing the abundance of both nymphal and adult deer ticks to zero”. Most notably, this study goes on to state that PROGAEA Tick & Mosquito is “an alternative, relatively benign approach to controlling ticks…on the properties of homeowners concerned about the potential environmental damage of synthetic acaricides.” Pure Solutions is working on a follow up study with the scientists behind this pilot test to ensure PROGAEA Tick & Mosquito continues to perform as effectively on the target insects, while remaining environmentally harmless.
