Python on the Loose Downtown
A 12-foot python is on the loose in the Pleasant and South streets area of Downtown Plymouth.

UPDATE: The python was just caught on Pleasant Street. According to reports, the snake was hiding in a bush and a man trying to grab it was bitten on the leg. He's been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Sometimes pets get out, it's a part of owning a pet. When it's a cat or dog, it's usually easy to find them and take them home, but when the pet is a 12-foot long python it's a little more difficult.

According to residents in the Pleasant and South streets area of Downtown Plymouth, that's what they woke up to Monday morning. News from neighbors that a 12-foot long python was on the loose in the neighborhood.
The snake is apparently a pet that escaped. According to Pleasant Street resident Carolyn Paradis, the snake's owner lives nearby. She said the snake hasn't yet been found.

Other neighbors are concerned about their pets and keeping them indoors, which may be a good thing considering the record heat Plymouth has experienced today.
"I'm not watering the plants til it's found," Paradis said.
