Raynham Teen Killed In Dirt Bike Crash ID'd
Michael Catania, 19, of Raynham, was killed in a collision on Route 138 Monday.
RAYNHAM, MA — A Raynham teenager killed in a dirt bike crash Monday was identified as 19-year-old Michael Catania, police announced Tuesday. Catania collided with a 75-year-old Plymouth man driving a sedan on Route 138 Monday afternoon, police said. Catania was riding an unregistered 1980 Suzuki 250. He crashed into the passenger side of the Plymouth man's 2005 Toyota Avalon at about 1:10 p.m. near Gilmore Street, police said.
The Plymouth man was turning left to Gilmore Street when the dirt bike struck his vehicle, police said. The Plymouth man was not hurt; his name was not released. No criminal charges were announced.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
