Plymouth residents who want to vote in the 2012 presidential election and other federal and state races have one month left until the Massachusetts voter registration deadline.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct 17.
Residents can alsoΒ download a mail-in voter registration form on the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website. Once that form is filled out and signed, it must be mailed to the Plymouth Town Clerk's Office at Town Hall and postmarked by Wednesday, Oct. 17 for you to be eligible to vote.

In order to vote in any election, a citizen must have registered to vote at least twenty days before the election. Citizens may register to vote in several ways:Β
- In person at the Town Clerkβs Office (or any Clerkβs Office in the Commonwealth)
- At the Registry of Motor Vehicles or several other state agencies
- By mail, using an official state form.
To obtain a form by mail, call the Town Clerkβs Office at 508-747-1620 X169 Once registered, a voter can maintain active voting status simply by completing the annual town census. If a voter moves, it is necessary to reregister.

Registration forms also need to be filled out to declare a political party or due to change of name or address.
