Road Construction on Atlantic Street, Memorial Drive Begins July 25

There are four seasons in New England, Snow, pot holes, mud, and road work, and right now, it's road construction season.

The Plymouth Department of Public Works will start grinding, milling, reclaiming and repaving two streets: Atlantic Street in North Plymouth, and Memorial Drive, Downtown next to Memorial Hall. Crews will also be reconstructing the sidewalks and drainage system on Atlantic Street.

Work on Atlantic will begin July 25 and is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 27. Memorial Drive will be closed to traffic from Aug. 1 through Aug. 5. GATRA has been notified and will temporarily relocate the Memorial Drive bus stop, although a spot has not been selected yet.

The DPW does not expect the work to disrupt bus service.
