Sacred Heart Early Childhood Center Earns Wicked Local's Readers Choice Award

Sacred Heart Early Childhood Center was voted the number one choice in Kingston under the Daycare/Preschool category.

Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12, was recently awarded a Wicked Local’s Readers Choice Award. Sacred Heart Early Childhood Center was voted the number one choice in Kingston under the Daycare/Preschool category by readers of the Kingston Reporter.

In this competition, the readers of the community papers published by Gatehouse Media and available online at www.wickedlocal.com nominate their local favorites in more than 75 categories. Thousands of people participate in this survey, and winners are verified by Automated Solutions Direct (an independent firm hired to tabulate votes and results). Readers Choice Awards are meant to give readers a chance to award recognition to some of the people and establishments who bring outstanding service and value to their communities and their lives.

Sacred Heart’s state-of-the-art Early Childhood Center, built in 2007, is a bright, colorful setting that was designed and constructed specifically with this age group in mind. It provides an ideal and dedicated environment both inside and out, with classrooms constructed especially for this age group and an expansive outdoor play area.

In addition, starting at the preschool level, students at the Early Childhood Center are exposed to Spanish language lessons and iPad-enhanced teaching methods.

President Pamela Desmarais said, “We are very excited to be recognized by our community with this award. We are very proud of the warm, encouraging, and intellectually stimulating environment we have created for our youngest students, and it’s very affirming to see that members of our community feel similarly.”
