Selectmen Discuss Farmers' Market Proposals Tonight
The bids were opened last Thursday, and the discussion begins tonight on whether to accept the highest bid.

After months of arguing and weeks of petitioning, the Board of Selectmen will decide whether to accept the highest bid to the running of a farmers' marketΒ at Stephens' Field and the 1820 Courthouse Green. The board could also elect to not accept any of the bids.
Three bids were opened last Thursday:
- Christine Pratt and Kim McDonough, listed as directors of the nonprofit , bid $4,500 for Stephens Field and $500 for the Courthouse Green for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
- Marie Foley of Lovin' Spoonfuls bid $1,628 for Stephens Field for the 2012 and 2013 seasons, but didn't bid on the Courthouse Green.
- , who has run the Plymouth Farmers' Market for the past eight years, bid $1 per market location and a $500 donation for the upkeep of the sites for both seasons.
