The Spire Center for Performing Arts in Plymouth, Massachusetts, has just unveiled a thrilling lineup of performances set to grace its stage this summer. Three remarkable shows promise to captivate audiences, featuring an array of talent spanning jazz, comedy, and more.
Renowned bassist Marshall Wood, along with his quartet and the incomparable Donna Byrne, will kick off the summer festivities on August 1. The duo, with their combined decades of experience, promises a night of exceptional music and entertainment. Byrne's powerful voice and dynamic stage presence have earned her accolades from jazz aficionados worldwide, while Wood's mastery of the bass has seen him perform on prestigious stages across the globe.
On August 23, jazz fusion enthusiasts are in for a treat as Spyro Gyra takes the stage to celebrate an astonishing fifty years of musical excellence. What started as a humble gathering among friends has evolved into a legendary journey for Spyro Gyra, with over 30 albums, gold and platinum records, and more than 10,000 concerts on six continents. Their performance at The Spire promises to be a highlight of the summer, showcasing the enduring talent and innovation that have defined the group for half a century.

Closing out the summer lineup on September 6 is comedian Corey Rodrigues, a native of nearby Milton, Massachusetts. Rodrigues' sharp wit and infectious humor have made him a sought-after performer on the national comedy circuit. With accolades including victories at prestigious comedy festivals and appearances on popular television shows, Rodrigues is sure to deliver an evening of laughter and entertainment that will leave audiences in stitches.
