Grammy® nominated virtuoso jazz pianist performs the world over
The Spire Center for Performing Arts, the entertainment mecca of Plymouth, presents The Eldar Trio in concert on Saturday, April 18, 8 pm, at The Spire Center for Performing Arts, 25 ½ Court Street, Plymouth.
“He’s a genius beyond most young people I’ve heard,” praises Dave Brubeck in The New York Times. Internationally acclaimed, Grammy® nominated virtuoso jazz pianist Eldar Djangirov presents The Eldar Trio. Eldar is rightly compared to jazz greats Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson, universally recognized for his stunning keyboard mastery and beautiful sound thrilling critics and audiences around the world. Like all great jazz musicians he has his own distinct voice, instantly recognizable; always surprising and satisfying whether playing the blues, a classic ballad or an original up-tempo composition.
The Eldar Trio most recently released “Breakthrough”, an album featuring Trio bandmates Armando Gola on bass, and Ludwig Afonso on drums. The album displays Eldar’s singular sonic imprint on an infectious array of standards and originals, with guest appearances by jazz greats Joe Locke and Chris Potter. Eldar simultaneously released “Bach/Brahms/Prokofiev”, a classical solo piano album that showcases his unique interpretations of renowned pieces like Bach’s Partita in C minor, Brahms’ Eight Piano Pieces, Op. 76, and Prokofiev’s Sonata #7, Op. 83.
