The Spire Center for Performing Arts Presents Mile Twelve

Fresh, hard driving and innovative bluegrass with opener Christa Gniadek

The Spire Center for Performing Arts, the entertainment mecca of Plymouth, presents bluegrass/folk quartet Mile Twelve on Friday, February 20 at 8 pm, at Spire Center for Performing Arts, 25 ½ Court Street, Plymouth. The concert will open with singer/songwriter Christa Gniadek.

Fresh, hard driving and innovative, Mile Twelve has made the rounds in New England bluegrass and folk circles. This young quartet brings their own spin on original and traditional bluegrass with Evan Murphy on lead vocals and guitar, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on fiddle, Nate Sabat on bass and Catherine (BB) Bowness on banjo. Original captivating songs and daring instrumentals draw from a diverse set of influences, including bluegrass, jazz, folk and old-time music. The four award-winning musicians have performed in New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, France, Canada and the United States, delivering their infectious groove and intricate melodies to audiences around the globe.

Opening act singer/songwriter Christa Gniadek delivers spellbinding songs with a unique blend of raw emotion and witty humor. Robust, velvety vocals with the folk-pop elements and quirky poeticism fill out her minimalist musical style and clever lyricism, reminiscent of artists including Norah Jones, Anna Nalick and Ingrid Michaelson.
