Summer Guide: Plymouth Beaches

Despite having the longest coastline in Massachusetts, Plymouth only has two public ocean beaches: Long Beach and White Horse Beach in Manomet.

is a barrier beach about three miles long. A 4x4 vehicle and a Long Beach 4x4 sticker are required. Environmental factors often affect access to the beach. Many birds nest in the dunes in early summer and may reduce the number of vehicles allowed. Check the Town of Plymouth website for up-to-date information.

Sandy's Snack Bar is located on the beach and is open during the summer.

on Taylor Avenue in Manomet is about 3/4 of a mile long and is one of the most popular public beaches in Plymouth. A portion of this beach is private, but there is a long stretch that is open to the public. This is a popular area for summer rental homes. Limited parking is available, but it is extremely limited. There are no restroom facilities.
