Summer Internships with Senate President Murray
Senate President Therese Murray, D-Plymouth, announced today that there are positions available for volunteer summer internships in her Boston office.
Senate President Murrayβs internship program allows participants to experience first-hand the legislative process and public service through assisting staff members on a wide range of duties.
βI hope that any college student interested in the legislative process or a career in public service will take advantage of these internship positions,β said Murray. βThis opportunity will offer students a hands-on view of how the legislative process works and provide a valuable learning experience that will supplement what is learned in the classroom.β
Legislative interns work with the local staff on legislative research projects and constituent contact and press interns work with the communications staff on providing information to the media.
Interested applicants must be a high school graduate, and should submit a resume, transcript copy and writing sample to Annalyce Shufelt at Annalyce.Shufelt@masenate.gov.
