Sunday afternoons in Plymouth are about to get a whole lot more danceable. The Spire Center for Performing Arts has announced four more Sunday Fundays with the Shady Roosters, presented by IndieFerm Brewing, running through May — and if you have never been to one, this is your excuse to fix that.

The new dates are Sunday, January 17; Sunday, February 7; Sunday, March 14; and Sunday, May 2 — all at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, November 7 at 6 a.m. at spirecenter.org, so set an alarm: these lobby shows are the kind of afternoon that fills up fast.

Based on the South Shore, the Shady Roosters have been making music together for over twenty years — originally as Lonesome Jukebox, and now with a refreshed lineup and name. Their setlist blends rockabilly, blues, roots, and old-school country, plus a few originals that sound right at home on a '50s jukebox. They play for the joy of it, and that energy always gets the crowd moving.

The shows take place in the Spire Center lobby — a relaxed, family-friendly space with plenty of room for dancing or kicking back with a drink. The lobby bar will be pouring IndieFerm beers on tap, along with bottled kombucha, wine, and other beverages.

Can't wait until January? Sunday Fundays are also coming up November 8 and 29, plus a special New Year's Eve show on December 31 at 2 p.m. (doors at 1:30 p.m.).
