Therese Murray Wins Primary With 87 Percent of Vote

Therese Murray defeated Democratic rival Stephen Michael Palmer in the primary for the Plymouth-Barnstable District.

Therese Murray handily defeated Stephen Michael Palmer to win the Democratic ticket for the Plymouth-Barnstable Senate District.

"It was get out the vote, we worked very hard," Murray told WATD. "What a difference two years makes."

"People were beeping and waving and saying we only came out to vote for you. One man said he only pulled a Democratic ticket for you and Tom Calter, so it was pretty nice. We've seen a complete difference with the way people feel than they did two years ago. There’s a much better feeling and much better atmosphere than there was two years ago."
