Three Arrested for Trespassing at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant
Three men were arrested for trespassing after they were found fishing off the breakwall at the nuclear power plant.

Three men were arrested Monday afternoon after they were found fishing off the breakwall by the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant, according to the Manomet Current.
The jetty is inside the exclusion zone in which no unauthorized people or Β vehicles are supposed to enter.
Police were notified by plant security of the intruders, according to Capt. John Rogers. The three men, all age 23, were taken into custody and released on their own recognizance.

The trio were detained by plant security before police arrived, according to Carol Wightman, a spokesman for Pilgrim. the breakwater is located near the parking lot, in what she termed an "owner-controlled" area, as compared to the "protected area" around the plant itself.
According to Jeff Berger, chairman of the Nuclear Matters Committee, he is supposed to be notifed when such an incident occurs, but that has not happened. He did know about it until the press called.

Berger says he will contact Jack Alexander, who is in charge of government relations at the power plant, and Town Manger MarkΒ Stankiewicz about the incident.
Two of the suspects were from Wayland and one was from Framingham.
