We had an enchanting time at King Richard’s Renaissance Fair! From the moment we stepped through the gates, we were carried away to another era, and it was magical. The shops with handmade leather and metal goods were a feast for the eyes, and we enjoyed finding unique treasures made by artisans to take home with us. I purchased an amulet that brings creativity to its owner, as a fine artist I can use all the help I can get for finding inspiration.

Seeing everyone in period clothing added to the atmosphere, and it was a joy to dress up with my family. My wife had her fortune read, which was an enlightening experience, and we couldn't stop laughing at the hilarious antics of the washboard wenches as they pulled audience members into their comedic show.

The immersion into character was what made this fair special, we spotted elves, fairies, and even Robin Hood roaming about! The highlight for us was the joust watching the knights battle for the king was nothing short of exhilarating.

This fair has become a cherished tradition for us, and we eagerly anticipate it every fall as a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. If you’re looking for a fun-filled day of laughter, entertainment, and a touch of history, King Richard’s Renaissance Fair is a must-visit!
