Cheerleading Coach Raped Player in West Bridgewater: DA
Nicholas D. Johnson sexually assaulted a girl under the age of 16, police said.

A West Bridgewater cheerleading coach raped one his players, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz announced Tuesday.
Nicholas D. Johnson, 26, of Brockton, was indicted on charges of aggravated rape and enticing a child. The victim, a girl, is under the age of 16, Cruz said.
Cruz said Johnson raped the player while he coached Full House All Stars. He was recently fired.

Police said the victim’s parents learned she was having a sexual relationship with Johnson and notified them on Oct. 14. At the time, Johnson had been working at Full House for about a year.
The girl told police Johnson sexually assault her once and took her off the gym property during another encounter.

Police contacted Johnson the same day the girl’s parents notified them; he agreed to meet with them but never showed up. Police said he drove his vehicle off Route 24, crashed, an ended up in the hospital. He was charged with negligent driving.
Johnson is being held on $50,000 bail.
