On Saturday, May 17th, at 7:30 p.m. the Blue Moon Coffeehouse in Rockland features authentic Americana music from West Virginia with “Uncle Eddie and Robin.” Banjo player Eddie Mahonen has been an icon in the Appalachian music scene for over 40 years, and Robin Mahonen, the daughter of reknowned jazz trombonist, Jimmy Knepper, is a talented musician and singer. Their style incorporates bluegrass and folk, shaped into a unique and original blend which Mahonen terms, “plunk rock”.
