Where to Buy Fresh Christmas Trees

This is the big week for Christmas tree sales. In the center of Plymouth, that activity centers on Exit 5.

The Christmas Tree Stand has occupied a lot off Long Pond Road for eight years. It's across from the entrance to Shops at Five. Down the road, near the Post Office, Morrison's Home and Garden continue that store's tradition. The Home Depot's garden center also has a supply.

The town's other big box retailer, WalMart at Colony Place also sells fresh trees and wreaths.

The new kid on the block has opened in the lot across from Town Brook Service Center off Water Street.

That's five tree vendors north of the Pine Hills. Seems like fewer than in previous years. Weren't there tree sales on Samoset Street and at Benny's Plaza? No one's selling in North Plymouth.

Vendors agree - it's an off year for tree sales.

"This is the kind of year, people will take the fake tree out of the attic," one vendor said.

Wreaths are going at a deep discount.
