QUINCY, MA — Despite five million to one odds, a Quincy man has struck gold, hitting for $2 million on the 50X Cashword instant play lottery ticket.

Kim U Quach turned in the $2 million ticket Monday. He chose to collect the prize as a one-time payment and turned the $10 ticket into $923,000 after taxes.

Quach bought the winning ticket at the 2oo Food Mart, located at Sea Street in Quincy. The store will get $20,000 as a bonus for selling the winning ticket.
