The initial suspect is no longer a suspect and is assisting the investigation, police said.

BOSTON, MA — A violin valued at $40,000 was lost at South Station on earlier this month. A woman was caught on surveillance leaving with the violin. The violin was left behind June 10 shortly after midnight.
Police had announced that a woman in a North Quincy HS sweater was a suspect but said Tuesday night that she was no longer a suspect and was assisting the investigation.
Police also announced that they have located the violin.
