Oversight rules on the move after Globe Spotlight report (recorder.com) β A RegalCare-operated nursing home in Quincy has seen its federal quality rating fall from five stars to one, prompting new scrutiny as Massachusetts moves to tighten oversight of nursing home ownership. Governor Maura Healey says forthcoming regulations will finally let state health officials weigh operators' out-of-state records and finances before approving licenses, aiming to better protect families placing loved ones in facilities across the state.
