QUINCY, MA — The city of Quincy is taking a major step to help those dealing with mental health issues.
On Tuesday, Oct. 6, the city will host a mental health and suicide prevention forum from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Central Middle School, 875 Hancock St.
Residents will be able to join local leaders and professionals for a conversation about mental health and suicide prevention. Representatives from local law enforcement, fire departments, the VA Suicide Prevention program and local mental health professionals will be in attendance.
The forum will focus on giving people the tools to identify when someone may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
Recognizing the warning signs can help save lives and ensure people get the support they need.
It will be open to everyone in the community and aims to provide help, support and awareness.
